CPL GROUP has introduced Fijian luxury retailer Prouds to PNG through two new duty-free stores operating at Jacksons International Airport.

Operating in partnership with Prouds owner Motibhai Group, there is a 332 square metre Prouds store in the departure lounge and a 90 square metre store in the arrivals area of the expanded international airport.

CPL Group chief executive Ravi Singh said due care had been taken to ensure that pricing in the store was competitive with others in the region, singling out the duty free store at Brisbane Airport.

Prouds Duty Free will stock brands ranging from Chanel, Christian Dior, Rolex, Omega, Swarovski, Pandora, Tag Heuer, Gucci, Lancome, Estee Lauder and YSL to Ferrero Rocher, Toblerone, Lindt and an extensive range of international liquor brands.

Also opening at the airport was IGA Airport Express, which will service the general needs of travelling passengers and will carry drinks, take away snacks, general over-the-counter medicines, magazines, confectionary, adaptors and other travel accessories.

“CPL Group and its joint venture partners have invested K5 million in setting up the three stores and these airport stores will provide full time employment to more than 70 Papua New Guinea citizens,” Mr Singh said.
