LOW-LEVEL aerial work specialist HeliScope PNG says its smaller size enables it to provide a boutique service to customers.
Chief executive Giles Rooney said the company was already making a name for itself, despite being a relatively new player in Papua New Guinea.
“Because we are a relatively small operation, we able to provide personal service and tailor-make packages to suit the client’s specific requirements,” he said.
“Given the unique and demanding nature of flying in PNG, helicopter charter services here require specialissed aircraft that can withstand the challenging work and conditions, as well as highly skilled pilots with a balance of both local knowledge and international standards and practice.”
“Our staff are amongst the most experienced in the industry in each of their fields, “ Mr Giles said.
“Several members of the management team have a background in the airline industry in PNG and Australia, while our pilots are from Australia and New Zealand with extensive experience flying in PNG.”
Based at Jacksons Airport, HeliScope PNG also carries out heavy lift operations, telecommunications tower construction, seismic support services, oil and gas exploration, mining and surveying support, aeromedical search and rescue, passenger transport and VIP charter operations.
