AUSTRALIA-based Neptune Marine Services has been awarded a five year offshore diving and subsea inspection services contract by Oil Search (PNG) Limited, in Papua New Guinea.
The contract, which commenced in April 2015, is for call out diving support services hand other Neptune services ranging from asset integrity services to dry underwater welding, remotely operated vehicle services and subsea engineering.
Neptune equipment will be held in Papua New Guinea at the Oil Search base in Port Moresby for the duration of the contract, with diving works to be performed from a client supplied vessel or facility.
Works will be focused primarily on the Kumul Marine Terminal, the oil export pipeline and Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring (CALM) buoy with the option to include other Oil Search assets as required.
Neptune chief executive Robin King said the company was positioned well to serve clients in Papua New Guinea from its bases in Australia and South Asia.
“The award of this contract demonstrates the strength of our diving division and the continued implementation of our strategy for extending our core capabilities into new geographical regions,” he said.
