PAPUA New Guinea information technology audit assurance consultancy Auditech Services will distribute training courses authorised by the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB), the groups have announced.
PECB chief executive Eric Lachapelle said his group would provide its best efforts to the partnership.
“We believe that working with Auditech Services is a great opportunity to provide our services for people in Papua New Guinea, and extend our network of professionals,” he said.
“Auditech Services has demonstrated its commitment to building its presence in this region, and that is very important for this agreement.”
PECB is a certification body for persons, management systems, and products on a wide range of international standards, including quality management systems, and Health, Safety, and Environment.
Auditech Services has provided services for government and businesses in PNG, including banks and financial institutions.
Auditech Services spokesman Francis Poko said the partnership give his company the unique opportunity to promote and distribute PECB certified products, training courses and certification services in Papua New Guinea.
“This arrangement is the first in the country and there is no doubt that success will follow, however, with greater challenges,” he said.
“Our vision is … to make Auditech Services the rewarding choice for professionals and experts in the fields of business continuity, information security management, risk management, information technology (IT), IT service management, auditing and others in PNG in partnership with PECB,” he said.
