TWO OF PNG’s biggest ICT providers, Allcom and MCR, celebrated the merging of their operations in October.
Under its new guise Allcom MCR PNG, the company is now one of the biggest ICT providers in the Asia Pacific region.
Speaking at a function held at the Grand Papua Hotel to mark the deal, Allcom PNG managing director Luke Beyer said the merger would make their service delivery stronger.
“We are very excited about joining the Allcom PNG and MCR entities together,” My Byer said.
“Both organisations are well established in PNG and our combined resources and strong vendor partnerships will further enhance our product and service offerings in the PNG market.”
Former MCR managing director Sam Vakili will continue as Group managing director but will be involved in PNG operations.
“This will ensure a successful merger of two of the best technical teams in PNG,” the company said in a statement.
“This merger demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Papua New Guinea and our customers – we are looking forward to a bright future working with Allcom PNG,” Mr Vakili said.
